maine vacation ~ fun around the cottage

Some stuff we did around the cottage... hung out on the chairs and in the yardplayed bocce (I think that's how you spell it) ball and horseshoes
(kid-style, meaning we made up our own rules!)attempted to fly a kite the daddies and the kiddos wrestled

Mr. Joel was a fun and new target for the kids :0)

played with some toys we couldn't leave home without

it was a rough start (mainly for Letty), but they eventually tolerated playing together
(Yes, Owen is in a long-sleeved shirt and pants...the weather was that cool! So nice!)played on the organ made milkshakes (This will most likely go on every vacation with us for now on. Nathan couldn't get over that a pregnant woman couldn't down a whole entire milkshake in one sitting. AND, it was pretty bad when Jess couldn't, and I COULD! Yikes!)
picnicked outside...it's not every day that we get a view like this to eat beside

Owen enjoyed finding Waldo with Mr. Joel in a Where's Waldo? book we found at the cottage. (It was probably the only picture I didn't get, but fortunately Jess thought to get a picture!)put on a show of singing and dancing

You will definitely want to turn the music off on the side because you do not want to miss our guest soloist...


enjoyed a relaxing time by the fire (yes, it got cool enough to start a fire!)

Owen had this very bad habit of going up to Jess and touching her baby belly. I'm not sure if Owen saw his Daddy do it and thought he would try it and then it all went downhill from there. It turned into a game. Owen thought it was pretty funny, but I don't think Jess thought it was very much. (Again, sorry, Jess!)Finally, we admired our treasure pole!
