Our activity for the day was to bake MORE cookies with my trusty little helpers. 
Once our kids learn to read, I'm sure I will no longer be needed in the kitchen at all on cookie baking day. Are these kids pros or what??? :-)
In between batches of cookies, we managed to have a little fun outside of the kitchen. We didn't just slave away in the kitchen all day. Welcome to their house! 
Before bed, we read a passage from the book of Matthew and kept working on memorizing John 3:16. Ivy almost has it! She keeps forgetting that word "begotten" and keeps saying "expecting life" instead of "everlasting life."
But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from teh Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son.
