corn maize

While Tyler, Natalia, and Abbie came to visit, we took the time to visit the Corn Maize at Sherman Farm. We had never been to the place so we had absolutely no idea what to expect except others who have been said they enjoyed it. The place had a maze in a cornfield, and you had to try to make your way through the maze. You could do an easier maze (about an hour) or a hard maze (at least 3 hours). We chose the easier maze as we had 4 little ones with us.

To help guide us through the maze, we got trivia questions that we had to answer. Our answer determined which way to turn so if we got the wrong answer, we turned the wrong way. We chose kid-friendly trivia questions so that Ivy would be able to lead us through the maze; however, there was a variety of different categories to choose from.

You can see what Letty thought of the corn maze.

Not only was there a corn maze there, but there was also different centers if you will for the kids to play and have fun at like a cornbox (instead of sand, they filled a box with corn)...

Owen loved putting corn kernels in Ivy's hood without her really noticing...

There was also a cow train ride that anyone could ride (mainly for the kids though). This was something you had to pay extra for, and, of course, we didn't see the sign that you had to pay for it until after the tractor had already started taking the kids away...

The kids also had fun on the playground...

We then rode on a hay ride (without the hay though) ;) out to the pumpkin patch where you could choose a pumpkin to purchase.

Finally, you could pet and feed the calf, goats, and pigs that were there and take fun pictures by a corn or tractor sign or on pig statues...
A fun (and tiring) day was made by all!
