Owen turns 2!!!

...a day late!

Owen's birthday was actually yesterday BUT yesterday was an all-around busy day full of church in the morning, painting at Miss Mary's house in the afternoon, and Ivy's friend's birthday party in the evening. AND, because Owen was turning 2 and wouldn't care whether we celebrated his birthday on the actual day or not, we postponed him getting older by one day! Okay, well maybe we couldn't postpone him getting older (oh how, we wish we could though), but we at least postponed celebrating his birthday by one day!

So, here it is! Daddy painted the kids' faces in the morning.
The Johnson family came over in the evening for some cake and ice cream.

You are one crazy, fun-loving kid. You love to play with your animals and people, and you love to play with anything that moves or is round - cars, trucks, balls, you name it. You love to read books. You love to tease and be chased around the table, especially by Ivy. You have no fear in you, which will hopefully change at some point in your life; otherwise, we will be living in the ER. You love your blanky and your bears. You don't like to fall asleep on your own, and if you don't fall asleep while we read to you at night, you like it when we snuggle with you and hold your hands until you fall asleep. You are one cute kid, but you don't quite know that yet (which is good)! We love you so much, Owen! You have taught your Mama and your Dada a lot and to that we thank you!
