This is especially for a gentleman in our church named Mr. Rod. Just about every Sunday, Mr. Rod asks Ivy to wink at him. It's so fun to see her do it and then to watch him laugh. (He has a laugh that reminds me a lot like my Dad's/Papa Snack's laugh.)

To save a little money in our family's budget as buying baby food can be quite expensive, I have found that it is cheaper and not that hard to make our own baby food.
I use a food processor to puree the food. (I have always cooked the vegetables - sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, green beans, peas, etc. - before pureeing them, while I have found that you can just puree fruits - bananas, peaches, etc. - without needing to cook them first.)
I then scoop the pureed mixture into ice cube trays and place them in the freezer. Once frozen, I take the cubes of food out of the trays and store them in a freezer bag to get what I need out for that day's meals.
Using store-bought paper napkins seems like such a waste to me. So many times after a meal, I throw away four napkins and two of them may have each been touched twice during the whole meal. Well, being the cheap, practical person that I am, I have been contemplating the idea of switching from using store-bought paper napkins to cloth napkins for the purpose of cutting down on wastefulness - wasteful spending and wasteful use. The thing that I wasn't quite sold on was how much laundry the use of cloth napkins would create. Well, this past Christmas, the idea of using cloth napkins came to fruition as I received A LOT of cloth napkins for gifts. So, we started using cloth napkins.

Letty has been doing this really weird thing with her tongue. It's almost like she's curling her tongue but backwards or folds her tongue in half or tries to flip her tongue upside down. What do you think? Take a look...
Since we're talking about tongues, I thought I would offer a little encouragement from God's Word, if not but for my own self...
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Ivy is such a sweet, caring, compassionate, and loving little girl. She is always willing to help in any way she can. Today, Mommy wasn't feeling the best. As I was telling the kids of this, Ivy responded, "Mommy, don't worry! I'll take care of everything. You just go rest, and I can handle it all."
So sweet and so caring! I just love her so much!
